Digital Village Project

05-Aug-2019 | Projects | SOS CV Zambia

The Digital Village project aim to provide access to ICT infrastructure for the SOS Children's Villages programme participants and develop their digital literacy skills. The programme participants will have access to computers and Internet connectivity as well as receive ICT training, to be able to utilise the technology efficiently. The ICT will provide young people the best chances to join the job market and become self-independent. In addition to ICT skills, the project put emphasis on training the participants on cyber abuse and cyber security issues for child safety purposes.

The Digital Village project primarily targets the SOS families in the Alternative Care Programme/SOS Family Care. This includes caregivers, children and young people as the key participants of the project.
