SOS CV Zambia calls for safeguarding of Children during covid-19

Our head of programmes, Mrs. Yezi Dongo was part of the Press briefing organised by the Media Network on Child's Rights and development to discuss the impact of the COVID-19 on children. The press briefing was organized to ensure that the mitigations on the fight against the COVID-19 caters for the development, protection and participation on children.

Mrs Yezi pointed out that  SOS Children’s Villages Zambia, was committed to creating and maintaining a caring and protective community environment that promotes child development; giving an equal opportunity to every child to grow up and succeed in life.
"Always acting in the best interest of the child; we believe that every child has the right to develop to his or her full potential, with full access to quality education, health and participation in family and community lives. Everybody has the responsibility to protect children from all forms of abuse, abandonment, exploitation, violence and discrimination". she stated.
