The National Director (ND) is supported by Executive Managers in the respective institutional faculties - Head of Programmes (HoP), Human Resource and Admin Manager (HRAM), Financial Controller (FC) and Institutional Fund Development Manager (IFD), while Regional Programme Managers (RPM) are responsible for the four regional locations in Lusaka, Kitwe, Livingstone and Chipata are.

Mr Adern S. Nkandela is a Development Economist and has previously served in top leadership, management and technical positions in various development and philanthropy organisations at pan African and Southern African level. Most recently, he worked at Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund and African Grantmakers Network (now the African Philanthropy Network). Nkandela's track of work in governance, philanthropy, sustainable livelihoods, child development, community development, SMEs, M&E, research as well as Ex-Officio Board membership brings invaluable expertise to SOS CV Zambia.

Simate Simate is a qualified and seasoned Human Resources Management and Administration professional and accomplished trainer. Simate has over 25 years of Human Resources, Management and Administration, Capacity Building having practiced in organizations like Zambia Institute of Management (ZAMIM), ZESCO Limited, Banc ABC (now Atlas Mara), Food Reserve Agency and now at SOS Children's Villages Zambia.

Simate is an active fellow of the Zambia institute of Human Resources Management and currently serve on the institute's Governance and standards Committee, having previously also served on two other different committees over the past six years.

He also facilitates on the institute's membership continuous professional development programmes where I mentor upcoming HR professionals on best human resources practices and professional development.

Rabecca Ngulube Chipoya

Rabecca Ngulube Chipoya has been working in the field of education and child rights for over two decades. She holds a Masters in Gender studies, Bachelor’s degree in Education and a Diploma in Law. A registered education administrator with the Teaching Council of Zambia, she is also accredited to TEVETA as an Instructor and Examiner in Gender and Communication Skills.

Rabecca has worked in public and private schools in Zambia, Ministry of Education- Botswana, and part time tutor with the University of Zambia. Rabecca has also supported the development and conducting of the Child Rights Barometer assessment exercise by Childs Rights Network Southern Africa. Her areas of interest include women and children’s rights, sexual reproductive health, education and alternative care for children in need. She is currently Programme Advisor Child Safeguarding /Protection in SOS Children's Villages Zambia.

Alternative Care Advisor

Pamela Mwila demonstrates skills, knowledge and experience in programme design, monitoring, evaluation and learning. She has over 9 years of experience in child and youth care development programmes, as a coordinator and advisor. She has contributed to the development of programmes for children who are at risk of losing parental care and those who have lost parental care. Pamela has also contributed to national policy development and capacity building for child and youth care practitioners.

Pamela also has strong writing and communication skills, having had published books as far as internationally recognized platforms such as the Library of Congress in the United States of America, with distributions to leading universities like Yale and Havard. Pamela’s recent publications in India are in use as study texts in the Department of English in India. Pamela is a known public speaker who has spoken as a guest in universities and literary festivals in South Africa, India and Zambia. As a well-known mentor, Pamela has contributed to the development of writing skills among young people in Zambia and Africa. She recently mentored a former SOS Malawi youth to publish an autobiography and a short story that was published by Harrow International, in India.

Pamela has transformed her hobbies into enterprises. Through her hobbies from which she derives passion, she also earns an income. She is an enthusiast of project management, not only for her professional life but also for her personal life and development.

A qualified teacher from the university of Zambia and Copperbelt teachers training college. She has 25 years teaching experience with over 13 years at management level.

She joined SOS in 2002 as a secondary school teacher and later appointed as coordinator then head teacher at HG school in Livingstone. She is a registered education administrator with the Teaching Council of Zambia, she is also accredited to TEVETA as an Instructor and Examiner in Gender and Communication Skills.

On a part time basis, she lecturers at DMI St Eugene university in Administration and School management. Irene is an examiner and setter of exams.

Irene is skilled in human resource, project management, child safeguarding and has vast experience in childcare, HIV/AIDS and Phyco-social counselling.

Currently Irene is pursuing an MBA in Social work.

Paul Katati is a Social Work and Psychology professional with 17 years of responsibilities in the health and social sectors. His experience is both in Government and in the Non-Government field having served in the Ministry of Health and SOS Children’s Villages Zambia.

Thematic areas in which he has worked include Medical Social Work, Social Case Work, Community Development, Alternative Care, Programme Development, Human Resources, Research, Database Management, and Grant Management.

He has led teams in programme units working with children in strengthening of families and community systems; alternative care; early childhood education; primary and basic education; as well as healthcare.

Watson is a teacher by profession. He is both Nkrumah Teachers College and University of Zambia graduate with 29 years’ experience. He worked for Ministry of education in Zambia for 9 years and Ministry of Education in Botswana for 7 years. He also worked in Eswatini, Manzini as a Principal for a Private school for one year.

Back home he worked for Chalo Trust School in Lusaka before he joined SOS Children's Villages Zambia in 2009 as a teacher at the Basic School.

He rose to the rank of Village Educator and joined Lusaka Children's Village from the school. He later ascended to the position of Village Director for Livingstone Children's Village. In 2016, he appointed as Regional Programme Manager in Eastern province of Zambia where he is currently serving.

He has skills in teaching, counselling, childcare, Child protection, negotiations, conflict resolution, leadership, and general administration.

Chriss Muntanga is an experienced Community Development practitioner, with extensive knowledge and skill in Social Development & Disability Programming. He has Hands on experience in Project management; Gender Programming; Sustainable Livelihoods; Alternative Care; Community Banking; Research; Youth Programming; HIV/AIDS Management; Entrepreneurship; Networking and Partnership Building; Resource Mobilization; Grants Management. He holds a Bachelor's Degree, majoring in Psychology & a Master of Science Degree in Project Management.
