Limitations
SOS Children's Villages Zambia will not enter into partnerships with companies involved in the sale of alcohol, tobacco, arms and weapons, or gambling (except charity lotteries). Additionally, we will not partner with companies that utilize child labor in any aspect of their operations or supply chain.
Marketing Guidelines
While SOS Children's Villages Zambia is the beneficiary of donations through partnerships, we cannot sell or distribute products for our partners. Although we may publicly acknowledge our corporate partners, we cannot advertise or promote their products and services due to our non-profit status. To help raise awareness of our mission, we ask partners to include our URL (www.soszambia.org) and related messaging on all promotional materials, press releases, and partnership outreach. SOS Children's Villages Zambia is happy to provide partners with approved language for this purpose.
For all marketing programs, we request that partners inform consumers about our global work and provide a way to contact SOS Children's Villages Zambia for further information. The SOS Children's Villages Zambia name and logo are registered trademarks, and written permission is required for their use. Companies must enter into a written contract with us outlining how these licensed marks will be used.
Cause-Related Marketing
Without a fully executed contract, the use of the SOS Children's Villages Zambia name and/or logo is strictly prohibited.
Sale of Products and Commercial Co-Ventures
If you wish to contribute a percentage of proceeds from the sale of a product, you must provide a sample (or drawings/photos if the product is in development) for SOS Children's Villages Zambia to review. A commercial co-venture involves a company promoting a product or service while clearly disclosing that a portion of the proceeds will benefit our cause. SOS Children's Villages Zambia cannot provide legal advice to partners; we recommend seeking legal counsel to ensure compliance with all relevant requirements.
